Dr Brendan Atkin

In honour of Dr Brendan Atkin who very sadly passed away in April 2023. We thank all of our patients and colleagues for the kindness and patience that they have shown us at this time, Brendan has helped so many patients and inspired his colleagues and is very sorely missed.

BSc (Clin Sci) MHSc (Osteo) DipPaedOst (London) GCTE MSCCO
Advanced Paediatric Osteopath (tertiary)

Brendan & Allison Atkin founded AIM osteopathy in 2015 in the hope that they could provide high quality osteopathic care to the community, especially passionate about using osteopathic treatment to make a difference in the lives of everyone from new born babies to the elderly.

Brendan furthered his studies at the renowned Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) in London. During his time at the clinic, he worked alongside paediatricians providing osteopathic treatment to premature infants within the neonatal intensive care units, paediatric wards, outpatient wards in Barnet and North Middlesex London hospitals, and the private OCC clinic in south London.

Brendan has completed a number of courses in Australia, New Zealand, Europe and America covering Osteopathy in the cranial field, biodynamic cranial osteopathy and osteopathic treatment during pregnancy and for babies and children.

When Brendan was not at AIM osteopathy, he was a clinical supervisor and lecturer for final year osteopathic students at Victoria University in the field of obstetrics and paediatrics and a member of faculty with the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation and Rule of the Artery (ARCOM)'s post-graduate osteopathic courses.

Brendan completed a  masters in Animal Osteopathy at the
University of Wales which allowed him to not only take care of small animals at East West Vet clinic, travel extensively treating elite sports horses but even treat rescued Elephants in Thailand.
